The traditional pet is a staple in the average American home. Cats and dogs, snakes and lizards, birds and gerbils. Seldom times people think of the pig as a home pet. The truth? Pigs are fantastic animals to keep, especially the little teacup piggy. Pigs have some of the most diverse attitudes and are oddly similar to humans. They like certain TV channels, sports, and in some cases, female pigs have been known to have PMS. Teacup pigs only grow to around the size of a large Chihuahua so the care of them is very easy. They can be put on a leash and walked like a canine; they eat pretty much whatever they want with little repercussions (although pig feed is probably the best bet). Pigs also leave a smaller mess to clean up when using the bathroom than the average dog or cat and, if you’re looking for a good bedmate you shouldn’t look any farther. Long story short, pigs are precious and automatically awake the kid in you so why wouldn’t you want one?
